Teriyaki Flank Steak


1 Flank Steak
5 scallions, chopped
2-3 garlic cloves, chopped
3/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. veg. oil
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white wine (substitute: apple juice)
1/2 t. accent
1/4 t. black pepper

Mix ingredients and marinate for 6 hours or more. Grill for about 5 minutes on each side and save the marinade. Take the meat off the grill while it's still very rare. Bring marinade to a slow boil on the stove. Slice meat on an angle into thin slices. Put the rare meat into the boiling marinade until the meat is cooked through (about 5-10 minutes.) Serve meat and sauce over rice.

(We enjoy grilling veggies with this meal: peppers, zucchini, corn, onions...)

  1. yum! i'm always looking for good beef recipes, i so rarely buy anything but chicken.
